The Otto Foundation is an education-focused philanthropic organisation established in 2016. The Otto Foundation creates and manages libraries and reading programmes at a cluster of schools in District Six, Cape Town. Our mission is to foster a love of reading and deepen the reading culture in our school communities.
The Foundation is offering a structured Internship Programme for young people interested in education, literacy and community development. This opportunity combines practical work experience with structured training and mentorship.
This is a five-month internship (July – November 2026) during which interns will be placed in Otto Foundation libraries and partner schools while participating in a structured training programme.

Five interns will be recruited for the 2026 internship programme.
