Placemaking Projects

Through our partnership with a local design studio, See Saw Do, we are implementing playful spatial upgrade projects on the Zonnebloem Estate. Learners get to be directly involved in the process, progress and implementation of each placemaking project through the the See Saw Do Placemakers Club.

We believe that working with learners to re-imagine their environment will grow environmental ownership and build pride, character and responsible citizenship.

Stimulating play environments and sports facilities that can accommodate a variety of extra-curricular programmes allow educators to take learning outside, offer variety in opportunities for engagement and growth.

How can you help us

See Saw Do's placemaking vision allows corporates and other donors to fund or get hands on involvement in distinct, modular projects that contribute to a coherent long term spatial design concept for the Zonnebloem Estate. These projects are ideal corporate team-builders or CSI projects.

Please visit the See Saw Do website at to see how you can get involved with our placemaking projects.

“The future of South Africa rests in the hands of our youth. We must support them, in every way we can,

to imagine a future with infinite possibilities, and equip them with the skills that they will need to build that future”.
